Itsuro Naraki, The Dancers (1990), Nomads (1994), and Exhiles (1999). Full Set of Naraki's Works.
A friend and disciple of Robert Frank, Naraki cut his teeth photographing people on the margins of society, particularly around his hometown of Osaka.
This is a set of his three books, published throughout the 90s, in very limited editions, by independent publisher 'Country Press,' which I believe was run by Naraki as they seem to have only published his works.
The Dancers catalogues images of Cabaret dancers between 1982 and 1987; it was published in 1990 in an edition of 1000.
The Nomads is focused on portraits of people Naraki met on the street between 1986 and 1994, published in 1994 in an edition of 500.
The Exiles continues where the Nomads left off, having photos from 1994 to 1999, when it was published in an edition of 500; this copy is signed by the author.
All copies are first editions; all are hardcover with dust jackets.
