Nori Doi is a member of the first generation of Japanese avant-garde dollmakers, alongside Simon Yotsuya. A great fan of Hans Bellmer, Doi experimented with ball joints and gender alike, collaborating with Nobuyoshi Araki, Shuji Terayama, Eikoh Hosoe, and others. This book, to my knowledge, is their only collection of works.
